Central Coast State Parks Association (CCSPA) funds interpretation, education, and volunteer efforts in San Luis Obispo County's state parks.

CCSPA supports:

  • School field trips to the Museum of Natural History and the Monarch Butterfly Grove
  • Living history at the historic Spooner Ranch House in Montaña de Oro
  • Docent-led hikes, walks, and talks throughout SLO County's State Parks
  • Mind Walks lecture series from January through March, providing weekly educational opportunities when it's too cold to get outside
  • SeaLife Stewards, volunteers in kayaks who provide information about marine wildlife
  • Wild & Scenic Film Festival, giving local residents the opportunity to watch films, get inspired, and take action on behalf of our environment

We envision a future where all children have a chance to visit our local parks and learn about the fascinating ecology of our region; where everyone can participate in the programs our parks offer; where our local public lands are preserved and treasured in perpetuity. But we can't get there without your help!

Our organization is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit. We are one of 85 similar cooperating associations across the state who work in partnership with their local state parks to fund programs like these. Your donation to CCSPA will go directly towards enhancing and increasing our parks' educational and interpretive programs and making them available to visitors and residents now and for future generations.
